SITE PREPARATION

Preparing the land and soil prior to tree planting is one of the best ways to ensure the survival, and long-term success of your trees. Our company offers both manual and chemical forms of site preparation, in order to create suitable growing conditions for your seedlings. We also offer tending services after trees have been planted for sites that did not undergo site preparation activities, or that require additional care and protection.

Types of site preparation:

Frost-seeding

This involves a broadcast application of seed to establish a cover crop that will not only suppress weed growth, but also offer added benefits to soil quality.

Manual Site Preparation

This service involves the use of hand tools and saws to remove and suppress undesirable vegetation. It can also include the felling and removal of trees and brush throughout the prescribed area.

Chemical Site Preparation

Our company is fully licensed in the province of Ontario to purchase and apply herbicide as a cost-effective means of controlling vegetative competition. Contact us to learn more about our different application methods and for a list of herbicides we work with.
